I very much doubt the Chinese would ever try anything militarily on us. They are taking over by stealth of numbers and our idiot governments are just rolling out the red carpet.

We pay Indonesia billions of dollars though. In the hope that they do not invade? What an absolute waste.

Back during the Nixon administration a plan was devised to deal with China in a non-military manner that we felt would slowly convert the Chinese from a Communist system to a Capitalist system and it basically worked however the Chinese Communist Party still hangs on to power.

The plan was to allow the Chinese access to the worlds largest consumer market that is the United States as we felt if we allowed the Chinese to make money and get wealthy thus wealthy people tend to become educated and educated people will cast off communism.

What we underestimated was how badly the Communist Party would want to hold on to power.

China is no longer a communist nation as their party struggles to make itself remain relevant.

Hi Warrior,
it's not only us it's the USA.
China has bought up a lot of the best property and
it steals the USA intellectual property as well.
The USA is losing the economic war which has decimated American industry putting
millions of Yanks out of work.

Just look at the sort of people there now - junkies:

Bobby you have to understand we have allowed this by design.
Henry Kissinger and Nixon using a large number of U.S. Think Tank Studies decided that the best and easiest way to convert Communist Red China into a Democracy was to allow China unfettered access to the massive U.S. economy.
The concept was to convert a Communist System into a Capitalist System and it worked.
The thing is the Chinese Communist Party even though China is no longer communist is holding on to power anyway they can.
Militarily China is not even close to a match to the United States.
China has zero force projection capabilities.
Thus we are playing the long game.
You NEVER have to worry about China militarily if your as Aussie as we would wipe them out the moment they tried anything.

But America is full of junkies and gun nuts.

America is in the middle of a decline.
China will be the new world super power by 2050.

US President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter to explain how he tries “so hard” to be friends with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Taking full advantage of the social media’s extended character limit, Trump tweeted that he was insulted by Jong-un’s criticism of his physical appearance.

“Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me "old," when I would NEVER call him "short and fat?,” he wrote.

But ummmm he just did? :rofl

TICKET buyers for the upcoming Winter Olympics in South Korea aren’t going for the gold just yet, as “there’s extremely light interest” with the Games just three months away, organisers and travel agents say.

Anbritt Stengele, founder of the Chicago-based Sports Traveler, told USA Today that the stagnant market for Olympic tickets is unlike any in recent years.

“The interest level is very low for this Olympics,” Ms Stengele said. “We had Sochi (Russia) in 2014, and that interest level was lower than Vancouver (in 2010). But this is even lower than Sochi. I would classify it as extremely light interest.”
Why are the Winter Olympics even being held in that part of the world at this point in time?

Light interest is right. Didn't even know it was happening soon.

I am disappointed the US has not gone in yet. Get on with it.

I see Trump has made them a state sponsor of terrorism so the maximum pressure can be applied by further isolation. This will end badly. (for the people)

The Winter Olympics begin in around 9 weeks. Perhaps this is why the US is stalling. It would be a disaster.

Now the winter Olympics is getting into the news.

South Korea considers scrapping exercise with U.S. for Olympics: Yonhap

South Korea is considering scrapping a regular military exercise with U.S. forces next year to minimize the risk of an aggressive North Korean reaction during the Winter Olympics in the South, the Yonhap news agency reported on Thursday.

North Korea denounces regular military exercises between South Korean and U.S. forces as preparations to invade it, and it has at times conducted missile tests or taken other aggressive action in response.

The Winter Olympics will be held in South Korea from Feb. 9 to Feb. 25, with the Paralympics on March 8-18.
