Will whaling in Greenland become a problem?
The Greenland government argues that it should be allowed to sell whale meat to whomever it likes, as long as it is sold locally. This includes tourists and visitors to the country
As well as reporting on whale meat for sale in Greenland, WDC has documented the illegal sale of whale meat caught in Greenland to tourists in Copenhagen, Denmark, leading to an EU investigation of this abuse of IWC regulations.
Residents of the United States are subject to U.S. Federal government bans against whaling

Well if the global population keeps packing on the pounds towards 20 Billion. I see Whale meat making a big comeback and many nations hunting them more for food than anything else.
