Re: Prison Reform

I was surprised when Texan seemed to imply that prisons in the USA were some kind of holiday house with air conditioning and a lot of other amenities. I have watched many documentaries on prisons in the USA and other countries, and only Sweden has prisons which seem to warrant that kind of description. The US prisons I have seen on Youtube look like hell holes to me. The only criticism I could have of the harsh US prison system is that prisoners do not have the same degree of respect for their guards as is demanded in Russian prison systems. Just look up youtube "Black Dolphin" and see what I mean.

I'll bet that Russian prison guards have no fear at all of prisoners attacking them.

One way to reduce the US female prison population would be to legalise prostitution. The USA must be the only country in the western world which criminalises poor women selling their bodies to survive. When I read the book about the Green River Serial killer I was surprised at just how many ordinary young American girls and even women with kids sell their bodies to make ends meet. It is clear that the USA does not have the sort of extensive social security net for girls and single mothers that we have in Australia. Spending less on defence, which does little except subsidise defence bludging countries like Australia and Europe, looks dumb to me. Secure your borders, spend less on defence, tell your bludging allies to wake up to themselves, and spend more on welfare. The sight of typically poor US women in chain gangs working beside busy roads and being publically humiliated is an abomination to me.

Another way to reduce prison populations is to stop importing criminals. I was surprised to find out that the USA is still importing Africans from Africa, which does little more than increase your prison populations and your welfare queues. So too, immigration from South American countries should be rigidly controlled. I have heard it said that South American women are the best in the world, while South American men are the worst. Even John Wayne preferred Mexican women over anglos, and he married two of them.

When 95% of all warrants issued for murder in Los Angeles is for illegal immigrants from South America, and 75% of Most wanted criminals are from South America, even dumbasses like Nancy Pelosi should be smart enough to figure out that deporting South American criminals and keeping them out of the country, will keep the crime and incarceration rates down.

Kill more prisoners. The Christian idea of redemption is a noble one, but it simply does not work with career criminals. Once criminals are identified as incorrigible, and that whenever they are out of prison they are just going to commit more crimes, then surely it is fair to declare them as human predators, unfit for life? I watch shows like "Criminal Masterminds" and I am constantly amazed at the degree of societal disruption and human misery that is caused by a very tiny fraction of the population, who will never stop committing crimes until they are dead, or at least too old to exert themselves to commit criminal behaviour.

Use the British system. Once condemned to death the felon has two weeks to live if no appeal is submitted. For execution, try the Chinese method. A bullet in the back of the head and it is all over, red rover.

In bygone years when the Death Penalty was all the go, coppers decided who the guilty was and in small town America, the people responded.

Then, when DNA came in, some of those criminals had been PROVED INNOCENT. I wonder how many INNOCENT people were put to death because the Police and Lawyers got them convicted?

Lawyers will lie through their teeth to get their money.

Prisons, and the fear of going into one, should be the deterrent.

Whipping on a daily basis, based on the crime.

No beds, simply a slab and two blankets.

No internet, tv, books, anything. You are being punished.

First offence, a mandatory sentence based on the crime.

Second offence, a mandatory sentence based on the crime, plus punishment.

Third offence, you cannot be rehabilitated and must be put down for the good of the population.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

All true. An account of an innocent man, condemned to death who's conviction was quashed only hours before his execution is recounted in a book by John Grisham. (from memory, I think the book is called "An Innocent Man.") In that case, a harmless, brain injured man was arrested by the police in a small town in the USA, where two young women had been raped and murdered. The person who pointed the finger at the innocent man was in fact the murderer himself. The small town police chief, who was desperate to convict somebody, simply ignored the evidence (including a credible alibi) that pointed to someone else being the culprit. The appellate court judges were more concerned with improving their golf scores than bothering to even look at the glaring inconsistencies in the DA's prosecution.

According to the excellent series on YouTube (Forensic Files) juries today will not recommend the death penalty without strong forensic evidence.

I'm not suggesting that our prisons are resorts. The prisoners are running the prisons through gangs. The prisons have become a crime tech school. They come out of prison hardened criminals with no work ethic or job skills. I've only worked in a common area of a women's federal prison, so none of this is first hand. I have spoken with friends who have either been in prison or their family members have been in prison.

You can't reform people this far gone. Just get rid of them. While ever they are alive, they are a serious danger to the rest of the population. I will bet there is no "gang problem" in Russian jails. Perhaps the USA could "outsource" it's prisoners to countries who know how to properly deal with them using "traditional" methods?
