Zelensky dismissed head of state security (Ukrainian MI5) Vasyl Malyuk despite opposition from Ukrainian military commanders.

Few days early head of GRU (Ukrainian MI6) Kyrylo Budanov was also removed to different position.

On January 29, another exchange of bodies of fallen servicemen took place between Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine received the bodies of 1,000 fallen soldiers, Russia 38.
