They even want sick men in the front lines.

Zelensky also signed two other laws aimed at getting more troops for the failing war effort against Russia.
One requires men who have been declared only
partially fit” for service to undergo another medical examination.

Zelensky Signs Law Lowering Conscription Age to 25

04/03/2024

WORLD : Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a bill into law on Tuesday that lowers the age of eligible conscripts for mobilization from 27 to 25, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

The bill was passed by Ukraine’s parliament last May but had been sitting on Zelensky’s desk for nearly a year since expanding the draft is unpopular among Ukrainians as war fatigue has been setting in.

Zelensky also signed two other laws aimed at getting more troops for the failing war effort against Russia. One requires men who have been declared only “partially fit” for service to undergo another medical examination.

Another law will establish an electronic database for military-age men between the ages of 17 and 60, as Ukraine looks to mobilize hundreds of thousands of fresh troops. Under martial law, men ages 18 to 60 cannot leave the country.

Zelensky signed the laws a few weeks after Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) visited Ukraine and demanded a change to the conscription laws.

“I would hope that those eligible to serve in the Ukrainian military would join. I can’t believe it’s at 27,” Graham said. “You’re in a fight for your life, so you should be serving — not at 25 or 27. We need more people in the line.”

In the early days of the war, Graham said Ukraine would be willing to “fight to the last person” as long as the US continued to provide military aid.

Now that hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and it’s become clear Ukraine has no chance of winning on the battlefield, hawks in the US are still looking to fuel the proxy war against Russia.

There has to be some way to solve European territorial disputes without starting wars?

Maybe the UN could enforce a plebiscite in any any country where there is a dispute
and have free and fair monitored UN elections there to decide what to do?
Proper elections in: Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Crimea
to see if Russia or Ukraine would take control.
We can't be risking WW3 every time Europe has a dispute over some land?

Hardly anyone had even heard of:
Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia 3 years ago.
Hasn't the world learnt anything from WW1 and WW2 ?

I don't know why Putin invaded Ukraine when there were so many other options.
Did he even try to use the United Nations to get what he wanted?
Russia is a permanent member there and has a right of veto.

Did he ever put forth his many grievances there such as:

(1) Ukraine having dozens of illegal bio weapons labs - and asking for UN inspectors to investigate?

(2) - the regions of: Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhya -
why didn't he ask for a UN observed and controlled plebiscites to
allow the residents to have a proper vote to
confirm his allegation that the people there were mostly Russians and wanted to be part of Russia?

(3) - NATO threatening Russia with missiles and aircraft that could have held nuclear weapons?
The UN could have investigated that too and come to a binding resolution on Ukraine.
Ukraine could have been declared a demilitarized zone under the control of the United Nations.
The UN put such troops in the Sinai when Israel and Egypt were at each other's throats -
that kept the peace.

(4) Ukraine stealing 100s of $billions of Russian gas that passed through
the Ukrainian pipelines to the rest of Europe.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia%E2 ... s_disputes
Surely the UN could have investigated that too?

(5) Ukraine laundering money for criminal activities that affected the whole world?
Could the UN have investigated that too?

It seems to me that the whole idea of the UN to solve the world's problems
and prevent wars was thrown under the bus by Russia.
This Ukraine war didn't have to happen if the UN would have been allowed to do its job.
