That's pretty telling that they don't trust the military. I've served in the active military and the Texas Air National Guard and every member is thoroughly back ground checked and most for Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

Governor Abbott was so insulted by the background checks that he said he would never again deploy Texas troops to Washington DC.
