The US NATO contributions are in addition to their foreign aid budget so, NO, I don't think it is the same. NATO was set up for mutual defence and the US always provides disproportionately more resources and support than it's 'allies' both monetarily and militarily.

As for the Kurds, the US cannot prop them up financially and militarily forever. Kurds have been fighting the Turks for eons and the US helping them to fight ISIS was in their own interests or they would have been exterminated. That exercise is complete so why should the US stay to police the Turks, Kurds and Syrian government forever? The Kurds are away from the Turkish border. Syrian refugees are returning home and the US still has troops in Syria.

I think your hatred is clouding any semblance of sense. It's the "angry left" syndrome. Why is the left always angry? You need to quit being emotional just because you hate the orange man and start educating yourself as to what is actually happening.

I am not pro Trump as a person but I am pro many of the things he is doing and has done. He's not a politician, he is a businessman and his approach is totally different to what we are used to. Some good and some bad. The bottom line is that he is keeping his promises despite ridiculous and insane interference from the left from the day he was inaugurated. The Democrats are insane. Merkel, Macron, Boris Johnson, Jeremy Corbyn are just part of a passing cavalcade of politicians, just as Trump is. Trump isn't the saviour of the US. He is an isolationist, "know nothing" politician. His short term policies have helped but his longer term ones are hurting the US economy. History will judge him as a lack-lustre performer in the end who are all noise and light who hid behind his twitter-rants that he wasn't running anything IMHO.

Europe will continue on it's own way, no matter what Trump says or does. Just as the US will continue on it's own way, no matter what Trump says or does. If he is impeached, he still has to be condemned by the Senate. With the Republicans controlling that house, I doubt he'll be condemned.

The impeachment process is just politics in action. It will come, it will go.

I have been on these debate sites for about 20 years, and I have never seen anybody post an article under their own name as a lead in to a new topic, that was not their own submission. You also need to understand the psyche of trendy lefties like Redneck, BO. Graduates in 1900 were only around 2% of he population, and except for a few authors, artists and musicians, they were all members of the Establishment. Today, graduates make up around 15% of western electorates, and for Artz grad types in particular, the conviction that they must be automatically anti traditional is so ingrained in them that they do it reflexively, without even being prompted. It is a class identity expectation. And if you don't conform, then your peers will regard you as "not one of us." Not supporting HIGW would be a serious social foux pas among trendoids, just like farting at the dinner table would not be socially acceptable at an upper class dinner.

It all comes down to self esteem. Educated lefties are convinced that they are smarter than the working and disadvantaged classes, and morally superior to the middle, upper, and ruling classes. That is why they scream and try to shout you down when you debate with them in person. Just look at how those ANTIFA morons behave.

Their debating position is linked to their own self esteem. They really do think that they are God's gift to the human race, and the font of all that is good and holy. Their opinions on anything are based almost entirely upon their group identity as the young and smart, who know best how everything should be done. Their opinions are inculcated into them by their peers and their celebrities by the media, so there is no reason for them to even bother thinking about whether they are right or wrong. Just parrot the slogans and your social position is assured.

They must be right because of WHO they are. If you oppose them, you are implying that they are not the super intelligent sentient beings they have convinced themselves they must be. That is why they behave like spoiled children and act out whenever somebody disagrees with their position. Greta Thurberg and her tantrums really strike a chord with them. They can see Greta in themselves.
