Another anti western rant by NDP. The USA is such a rotten "Orwellian" country that millions of people try to immigrate into it, legally or illegally, every year.

I'm a libertarian Bogan. A right leaning libertarian no less. As such, I have serious issues with a State that is so untrusting of its citizens that it resorts to the surveillance of same, beyond what is reasonable.

But it's worth noting that Obama was the president whose administration actually engaged in spying on working journalists.

And it appears that the Trump campaign was also spied on by Obama intelligence agencies with the assistance of friendly foreign nations (yep, including Australia). We'll learn more as the Barr/Durham investigation unfolds.

So ... do I think there's too much "Big Brother" operating in the U.S. government? Yes.

But I also think there's a lot less of it since Trump moved into the White House. He's more concerned with creating economic prosperity and defending national sovereignty than trying to control the lives of everyday citizens.
