Blocked on friends facebook
A friend blocked me from his facebook because I had a different view on climate change to him.
He has fallen in with some greenies, they will not accept any differing viewpoints
It is like a cult.
I have known him for 30 odd years. It is unsettling. I have to let him go.

If he is like that he isn't worth worrying about, Sprint. I know it's easy to say but true friends just don't do that. You are better off without him. Sorry though.

wasnt it Hitler and Stalin that shut down anyone that disagreed with them?..
seems to me you didnt really know your "friend"..
is it just facebook he has blocked you from? are there no more BBQ invites?
if you cant talk politics and agree to disagree.. its a sorry world but you are better off in the long run,.

Yeah seems a bit OTT, I rarely get into anything political/controversial on Facebook I usually confine it to just whats happening and birthday wishes etc

I NEVER get into politics on Facebook. I have a few leftie friends and I cringe when I see their posts but I never respond and I also never see them socially anymore. I couldn't stand listening to the irrational shrieking.

If you want to remember friends birthdays, Christmas, New Year, Easter an so forth, check Jacquie Lawson's site. An English site and beautiful, animated, cards. I have been a Member there for 5+ years and it currently costs $20 per annum to send as many cards as you want (via email). Take a look and check what is on offer, you will be amazed. Great stuff.

I NEVER get into politics on Facebook. I have a few rightard friends and I cringe when I see their posts but I never respond and I also do see them socially as I accept we all have different views. I have never encountered listening to irrational shrieking.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:16 pmI NEVER get into politics on Facebook. Re: Blocked on friends facebook
Some of my leftie friends and I have common ground and we are a lot alike in many ways. They are the ones I see more and/or talk to on the phone.
The others are 'progressives' and I really find it hard to stomach the 'progressive' attitude and mindset. It is actually very regressive. They would have Australia filled up with boat people and muzzos, stand there in welcome waving rainbow flags and not bat an eye and couldn't give a damn about the rest of us.
