Am pondering on next car, a used one

might try a Mitsi Outlander.
Any experiences of them?

Rav4s seem overpriced to me

outlanders depreciate more, so a better buy

True. I bought the wife a Rav a year ago. Was looking for a year old low km one but they were just a tiny bit less than new.

I also drove an Outlander, the CTV box feels horrid.

Yes, those CVT transmissions are very strange to drive.
Horrid is a good description .

First one I drove I hated. Second one was in a hire car for a month - I got used to it.
3rd one was only for 1 trip, it was ok, played with the manual mode at times.

The best CVT is Subaru as they've done something to make it feel like you're progressing thru gears.

Whats the max price for this buy?

For that price I'd be looking at a Hyundai IX35.
You'll get the most up to date tech. The Mitsu would be an antique

Mitsis never say die, cant kill them with a stick....cheap to run and on parts.

Of course, I'm a tad biased.
