Why do people leave their dog in the car?
Dog left alone in car on hot day rescued by police, man charged with animal cruelty
A Queensland man has been charged with animal cruelty after a dog was rescued from a locked vehicle.
Police in Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, received calls of a labrador left unattended in a car about 10:40am on Tuesday.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said officers saw the windows of the vehicle halfway down and the dog in the rear seat footwell.

Whilst the penalty for animal abuse remains ridiculously LOW this will continue to happen. These idiots need to feel the pain in their hip pocket.

We had a Pomeranian when I was a kid and I used to dress it up in a blue dress, and bonnet. I should post a pic of it sometime lol
As for dogs and kids being left in cars it is disgraceful. Unbelievably stupid. It happens in Sydney, with kids, in summer more than you want to hear about. Quite often Chinese in the casino or gambling places leaving the kid in the car.

We have kids die here, a couple a year.
It gets so hot they die within 1/2 hour.
very sad, very silly.
We had an incident on a school bus a few years ago where the kid feel asleep, driver didn't check the bus, kid died as he was there all day until the driver went to pick up the end of day kids. The whole process and rules changed in the UAE due to this incident. Buses have to be checked by 2 people at the end of every drip.
