Yes, I use the spice in some things like curries (which I don't make often) but the fresh stuff, Cilantro/Coriander, is gag worthy imo. It's why I don't care for Thai food as they use way too much of it. YUCK!
On a whinging note there was not ONE egg to be found yesterday anywhere! I need some eggs!!! GGRRR

Fresh Coriander is interesting. Some people complain it "tastes like soap." My daughter does but I love it as does my wife. We don't have it on the table any more as a consequence (nor Glutten).

Just joshing with you mate, you "spelt" gluten with 2 t's lol, My son Harry is also has celiac's , he was diagnosed at 4, I felt a lot of personal guilt at the time, like it was somehow my fault, Hes a healthy 6'1" 19 year old now ,, When first diagnosed , as you are aware there were not a lot of GF products available, so there was a lot of time spent in the kitchen baking ..

My sister is a Coeliac and I spent years mastering gluten free cooking for family gatherings etc. Now I don't care if she chokes on it

Re: Night Owls Chit Chat
Back to food, I ventured down to the back of the property this morning to untangle the neighbors goat that was caught up in some gorse on my prop, I saw it a couple of days back but left it their in the hopes it might modify its behavior lol, There is a very large pine and the goat was trapped close to it, On freeing the goat I noticed a large number of mushrooms growing under the pine , I have always referred to this tree as the home tree because of its size, Back to the shrooms, these ones are of the genus, amanita , specifically amanita muscaria, Thy are related to the death cap ,and have psychoactive compounds in them, They are very good eating but care must be taken when preparing them for consumption, At best you will start having an animated conversation with your tea pot, at worst, at worst it could kill you,
I picked a good half dozen of the best specimens, and intend to eat them for lunch tomorrow, Yum

As a foot note,
Amanita Muscaria are one of the most easily identifiable mushrooms on the planet, So a very good candidate to experiment with.
