Re: How was your day?
I really enjoy the social factor re-church, lemmy explain how we ended up going.
When we had just arrived in Ballarat, only two kindergarten spots were available last June.
This kindergarten which is church ran was the closest.
The kindergarten and church has a playcenter attached to it, so in the afternoon all us mum's would sit in there after kinda was over and the kid's would enjoy the free play centre while we mums chatted.
Anyway, one of the church elders invited us to attend church informally, so my daughter could still visit her kinda teachers the following year after she went to big school to assist with transition, because she's L2-ASD and change is a huge deal for kids on the spectrum.
So we attended, she began kids church and I attended adults church in same huge centre while little miss M attended kids church.
I enjoyed the sermons because they're not overly "churchy" are more like public speakers/motivational speakers, topics like family, relationships, men, woman, grief, recovery etc..so not at all like the Catholic system I grew up in.
Also, it's very casual. Very . Not like attending mass lol.
Anyway, I enjoyed it so much that rather than drop my child off at Sunday school and leave, I started attending church myself and also wanted to stay in case she needed me, toileting/ sensory overload/ stimming/ meltdowns etc.
Now we both look forward to church, its the social factor, as I only knew a couple of friends and a relative when we first arrived.
Now, we are attending our first ever family church camp in October.
I just feel guilty leaving a cat alone in a strange house so we can attend church.
My stepdaughter would babysit him but I think we should just settle him in his new home, rather than dump him off at home and run to church... we'd be pushing it to make it back anyway so....
Have to be at a Mulgrave cat show at precisely 8.15 am tomorrow morning as his breeder is adjudicating at the show.

Re: How was your day?
Currently sitting at local play centre while my daughter spends time with her dad.
All good.
After this.... we have to race back home and start preparing for my friends sons birthday party.
It's all done, made cake yesterday, but still need to blow some balloons up and set the table. Party plates, napkins, hats and blowers.
And pre heat the oven and boil some water in a large pot for frankfurts.
Omg.... I forgot.... need more tom sauce...so will make a pit stop on way home.
Thanks for reminding me.
This is our day.

It's fu*ing insane at times redneck, but this weekend is unusually big... re party and cat so all good.
My family and friends worry a bit, think I'm burning it at both ends, but I know when enough is enough and can rest a little during school hours.
So..

Also re-toothache .... infection in sinuses apparently, hence all upper teeth aching.
Have made time to get antibiotics on Monday.
Dentist filled a cavity that was quite deep anyway, but doesn't believe the tooth was the cause.
Plus I have a low grade fever.
Lol. I really should have realised this myself, but am an allergy person, so assumed it was just allergy.
Happy not to have needed root canal.... I'm a,sook when it comes to dental work.

Speaking of cats we just bought a blue burmese kitten.mellie wrote:It's fu*ing insane at times redneck, but this weekend is unusually big... re party and cat so all good.

So..
First had a similar burmese in early 1970's and since then a Siamese and several orientals, even bred Orientals at one stage.
This lastest one is a bloody ratbag at times , tears around the house at 100 MPH.

I adore Burmese and Siamese also.
Was a tough choice.
