Happy New Year. I just video chatted in the NY with my granddaughter. Susie(the dog) is terrified of the fireworks going off. She is snuggled close. Goodnight.

Tex, how is the vaccine rollout going ?

So far it's just medical workers and first responders. My cousin is a county sherrif's investigator and part time Federal agent. He was forced to get the vaccine and he's not happy about it. My other cousin is a nurse and I haven't heard whether or not she has had the vaccine.

My opinion is that I don't want a vaccine as long as I have antibodies, but there are 2 vaccines. The Pfizer vaccine alters your DNA and that scares me concerning long term effects. The Moderna vaccine is a typical create antibodies using dead samples of the virus type vaccine and I would rather take that one if given a choice. I think we've had a couple of million doses distributed in Texas alone.

I appreciate you concern, I doesn't changes your DNA, , RNA is a gene or number of genes ,it just teaches your body to recognize a gene within the covid virus and attack it , But having said that I will certainly be more comfortable when a few million peeps have tried it before my name comes up lol

I'm obviously not a medical person, but I'd hate for my body to learn to fight something that I might find beneficial down the road. I could see us developing a need for something that only the government can provide. Then they would own us. I know that is a conspiracy theory stretch, but if they could get us into that kind of position I think they would.

I don't have a problem with it, to be honest in NZ you wouldn't even know there was a pandemic , its business as usual, from a local perspective it doesn't make the news anymore, you hear about the odd case in managed isolation ,

I have a problem with the Pfizer one. I just don't trust it. Apart from the fact I'm staying home a lot more the pandemic hasn't affected me too much either. Very few people in my area wear masks and we're all still here.

I want to take a trip this year though and that concerns me about being forced to have a vaccine.

Me either, but I can see my career being threatened. My cousin is going through this right now. I can see your shot records being attached to your ID and businesses not letting you work there unless you have the right vaccinations. There are hospitals that have a list of vaccinations that I am required to have to work there just one day. I was vaccinated for everything when I was in the military , but I don't typically get the flu vaccine. I used to get sick from the shot every year.
