I saw something interesting last night at work. I was driving up to a job site in the dark and drove by a giant cylinder laying on its side. The diameter of the cylinder was 3 meters and it was about 35 meters long. As I drove around the end of the cylinder I noticed several rocket engines withe a couple of engines removed. It was a used reusable rocket booster that had been to space and flew back to Earth and landed upright autonomously. I was at SpaceX. Pictures are forbidden, so I couldn't take any.

No. It looked like a 62 Studebaker rusting on blocks in a parking lot. Some of the engines were removed and there were body dings in places. The skins were starting to oxidize and had no shine to them. I wanted to sneak a photo as I drove by it, but I like my job too much. I'll see it again in a couple of hours. I'm working there tonight at midnight. I'm at the rocket engine testing facility for SpaceX in central TX. Last time I was here, they rushed me off the test pad so they could test fire a rocket engine. You could hear it for miles. Every time they fire up a rocket, they have to pay off the residents of McGregor damages for the noise pollution.

I just found out something interesting about my friend, Robert, with the covid right now. When he was 20-21 in the Army, he made a suggestion that saved the Army millions of dollars. The Army was going to reward him and gave him several options. 2 of the options were a 5 digit cash reward or a flight in a fighter jet. He took the cash and gave it to the Make A Wish Foundation. Make A Wish provides for the wishes of children with terminal cancer. I've always known he was a very nice kid, but this confirms it for me. Anyway, I'm proud of my friend and thought I'd share that with ya'll. I just found out through the grapevine. He has never bragged about it.

He's a star Tex, In these days of rampant greed, he gets 5 stars, Im not sure that as a young man I would have been as generous as that ,And if I had I probably would have bragged,

No pride in that, just the reality :smack

I'm with you P. At that age, I was pretty selfish. Marriage and fatherhood has tempered me. I'm still not a pleasant and outgoing person, but I'm not irresponsible and I consider others.
