Didn't have time to resize it. The lamps are made from iron pipe. They include USB ports for phone charging and water valves are working light switches.
I like the blue one - I am a 'colours' man
Also really like the small 'robot' one on the right hand side. The bare lamp makes it, it is like he has had a 'bright' idea

I love the look of wood and epoxy.
Thanks. It is called 'LIquid Glass', It was very temperature dependant when mixing it. Used a balance to get a 50;50 mix

The blue colour was blue powder dye mixed with liquid glass poured into deep cracks in the wood.
The blue gives it a good contrast

Here was the table top as I got it.
Is good to start with 'rough wood'. Gives me liberty to experiment.

This is the kind of stuff I would like to get into making. This has LED lighting in the epoxy resin, but you can also use glow in the dark powder coloring. It requires more tools and shop space than I currently have. I'd love to build a shop soon so my dad can better teach me the finer points of woodworking before he gets too old. I think he might enjoy making something like this. I'd start with epoxy river cutting boards and drink coasters before I tackled something this big. It would cost several hundred dollars to make this table, but they sell for thousands if you know what you are doing and can market it. I've thought of renting consignment space at "Canton First Monday Trade Days" when I retire and can devote more time to something like this. For one weekend per month, they have tens of thousands of visitors flocking to see all of the goods that people have to sell in an outdoor area.

I'd also like to get into fractal wood burning or Lichtenburg wood burning. It's dangerous if you don't know what you are doing, but you can fill the burning in with epoxy resin and incorporate this into all kinds of art.

Those are good ideas.
I like the idea of luminescent material in the coloured liquid glass.

An image of my Router. It is 100% pure Makita.
Complex to use fully, well balanced, can shape wood to within 0.1 mm. Does angles.

Has taken me months to learn and appreciate. A lovely bit of kit.
It focuses my mind totally when I use it

This is one of the views of The Butterfly Forest.
The path was critical in the planning. I spent much time researching forest paths to find what we liked.
It worked. It had to.

I like it! What kind of finish are you going to put on it. You might want something durable on the interior, if your tools will scratch it up. I'd leave the exterior as natural as possible.

There was a fellow at a gun show selling epoxy cutting boards and serving trays. He even made wood and epoxy salt and pepper shakers. We talked shop for a bit.
