Yes I know.
You're a snob -
once the fuel crisis stops food deliveries you'll be begging for Bobby's chicken dinner.

I still love my eggs, both poached and raw.
But I really can't enjoy bland chicken or even Turkey and Duck.
Poor nutritional level compared to other meats available.
I've still got Mulloway and Flathead fillets left from my spearfishing last week. Kangaroo & Venison I buy cheaply from local farmers, etc. I occasionally buy Mackerel due to its high nutritional quality.
Haven't done Pork in a long time. Too fatty.
I used to get my Roo and Venison at the Vic Markets a long time ago even though it was in the Pet Food section. Crazy!
You should go and look around at the Markets.
You might find Water Buffalo. Man. You'll never taste a more beautiful meat. It's like naturally smoked and tender.
These are the things the ALP and Media don't want you buying.

Wow - you sound like a wild west pioneer who could live off the land and grow fat.

Just being economical while also enjoying more nutritional quality. Something the Govt and Media don't want you to do to protect their more established industries like Lamb, Chicken, Pork, etc. You've seen all the adds "You're not an Aussie unless you eat lamb" etc.

I don't eat kangaroo, it makes me chunder but I like wallaby, emu, camel and witchetty grubs, duck and raw cured meats of all sorts.
I like to cook using sous vide technique, can make fantastic meal out of cheap cuts of meat simple and easy.
hot smoked mullet - it is season now when mullet run.

Emu is the best.
But I can't seem to get it. Only when the local Abo festival is on and they cook it up.
