Dawn walk in the Forest

Post by sprintcyclist » Sun Aug 29, 2021 4:53 pm

We got up early for a dawn walk in the local forest.
It was the last cold morning of winter, there are often 'roos there.
The predawn bird chorus had started.

Was very nice

The birds wake me up every morning especially the Magpies.
I love their songs.

Last year I heard and saw very few birds. They'd disappeared after the horrendous fires the previous season. This year they are coming out in droves and it's really nice to see ... and hear.

Yeah, I was awakened by the dulcet tones of the idiot next doors motorcycle starting up and screaming up the street yesterday.

We had words last night.

Every evening and morning we have the Kookaburras coming through.
Several native pigeons muttering and numerous other birds seem to love our garden and fish pond.

But there is no real bush or forest withing our 7 k limit...bugger.

You have it good, enjoy.

Earlier this year, we were at Coffs Harbour (or just north of it anyway) at the parents in laws house looking after the old bird after her husband passed away suddenly.
We were stuck in a particularly wonderful part of the world for nearly 6 months.

The only thing that spoilt it was the damn roo that decided to come out of nowhere and headbutt my wife's car
$8600.00 damage and several weeks waiting for a part.
I got to do a lot of kayaking, swimming and bush walking.
But we have been home for the last couple of weeks and I'm going stir crazy.

Highly unlikely.
I can barely touch my toes after breaking my back.
All i can really do is swim, and i cant get to the pool at the moment tanks to lockdown.
Cant get near the river, more than 7 k from home.
So i have been hitting the punching bag and working on my Kata.

I think my neighbours are getting worried, seing an old guy going through his Katas and working out with my boe staff.

But i really want to get back to the pool, i was getting much fitter and losing weight well.

I know what a kata and a boe stick are.

What is yoga to you?
