Well I don't have to do much for him but, yes, I feel sorry for old people alone who have something like this gnawing at them and have no-one there.

It must be horrible to be old and alone.

I have seen elderly patients check into hospital for pain management purposes, even without complications.

Depends on age, immune system response and how effective the antivirals are.

I believe Burt Newton had shingles and was cared for at home by his wife nurse patty who really annoys me, because she was bragging how she refused to allow Burt to receive treatment at hospital preferring to care for him herself.

He had a really bad case of it, and should have been managed in hospital pain wise as advised by his treating doctor.

As usual, Patsy turned it into the Patty show starring nurse Patty. Or what ever her name is lol

Silly woman.

Was on front page of woman's day or new idea....cant recall.

BO, it's unlikely your son will require a hospital admission if he's otherwise healthy.

Its very painful, unpleasant, but he'll fair much better than Burt who probably caught shingles on purpose to get away from Patty. :rofl

He won't require hospitalisation. He just wishes he had it on any part of his body other than his head.

The nerve pain in his head 24/7 is debilitating. If it was on his chest, back, limbs etc it would be much better. I just hope it doesn't last for weeks/months.

He is really pissed off that he can't go to work lol
