Bond is a fantasy view of the world. Who cares about the colour or the gender of the person who plays Bond? A tired, wasted old man in Australia? I think they can survive without your money at the box office.

I don’t have a problem with a black female 007, but it’s a huge departure from their proven formula of cocky, chauvinist with fierce loyalty to his country who gets the job done. We call them “Bond flicks” and not 007 flicks. This may be a good movie, but it won’t be a Bond flick.

I object to the PC notion that they feel the need to change it. Why don’t they start a different franchise instead of corrupting a proven formula .

Why not give her a new identity/role rather than James Bond? It's just more gender bendering everyone is equal PC rubbish and I doubt it will get a huge following.

What next? A female Jack Reacher or Jason Bourne? Or maybe a white female Alex Cross.

We already have Lara Croft type female characters so why the need to try to take over the identities of the male leads?

It is a huge departure, I agree but I am waiting to see if it works at revitalising a tired old franchise. I will not condemn something until I've actually seen what they are doing.
