I recently watched The Victim ... excellent. Surprise ending!
A mother seeks the whereabouts of her son's killer after he is released from prison, unleashing a series of events that surface tragic memories and unexpected consequences.

if its Fox

no can watch
BBC First Channel so "their" ABC might get it, eventually. Only 4 Episodes and reminiscent of the James Bulger murder. Kid kills smaller kid. Well done and kept me enthralled.

There is no blood and guts. It starts with the Mother of the little boy (age 9) who was killed 15 years ago and the 14 year old boy who killed him was in Gaol for 15 years and is now out and given a new name and identity.

The Mother of the murdered child searches via Google and thinks she has found the person who murdered her son. She organises someone to bash this guy up. SHE is taken to Court for "attempted" whatever.

WHO is the VICTIM?

Yes, I don't watch lots of shows as they are based on violence.

Yes, people like to watch violence. We belong to a violent and territorial species.

Strange how our perceptions change....
Some time ago I was watching a programme... cant remember which one...but the thought
entered my mind...out of the blue totally....."theyre only acting"
When the viewer thinks that thought, its amazing how your perception of the programme changes...
It almost immediately ceases to be important viewing...suddenly its all just an act...like almost
all the crap on TV.....
Just an act...….but then again...Im 70....seen it all before....
To discover those who rule over you, first discover those who you cannot criticize...Voltaire
Its coming...the rest of the world versus islam....or is it here already...

I think we have more had violence presented to us for decades and portrayed as being the way to solve issues

There is no violence in The Victim, it mostly about the Court case of the Mother after she had gotten somebody to bash the bloke she thinks is the one who killed her son.

This is what somebody who saw it said.
This is an absolutely superb four part drama, that will have you moved, gripped and definitely captivated. It's an interesting insight into the proceedings of the Scottish legal system, and deals with a tragic, but fascinating case.

Episodes one to three are terrific, the fourth part is sensational, one of the best dramas I've seen in a while. The acting is outstanding, particularly Kelly MacDonald, who is incredibly impressive, as always.

Beautifully made, it doesn't have a single dull moment, it's very moving, and will have you questioning motives, and changing your preconceived ideas about the characters.

This is not to be missed. 9/10
