medieval heresy
Although there were many so-called heretical movements throughout the Middle Ages, these six had the greatest impact and would inspire others: Paulicians, Bogomils, Cathars, Waldensians, Lollards, Hussites.

Re: Buhurt medieval violence
The ultimate heresy was Europe's natural affinity for Music and Medicine via its original Pagan past of its 1st Age.
Before it became oppressed by Religion, in the form of Christianity, from the Middle-East.
So far, Germany has finally freed itself from that oppression (which turned them in Nazis eventually) and is doing well in its true European nature of Music and Medicine.
France is next. Italy (the fall of the Vatican) and Greece to follow.

medieval music and medecine
The medieval world had the notion that music had measurable therapeutic value. From the story of David and Saul, perhaps the oldest account of applied music therapy that we possess, music was viewed as an integral element of the healing arts.
