Finally, I have had the NBN guys digging holes in my Street. Many trucks and digging equipment and lots of men in hi-vis vests. Standing around doing what Council Workers do ... for many, many days/weeks!
So now I have a little green box on my neighbour's nature strip and a large green box across the road. I presume this means I will eventually have no option other than go with this FTTN thing.
Excitement-Plus.

Watch out as I see they promise a great bandwidth and do not deliver.
Get some speed testing sites lined up so you can test it when it arrives then complain when it is crap and not what you were promised or paid for.
Always remember what you post, send or do on the internet is not private and you are responsible.

I really don't care all that much. I have had ADSL2+ or whatever and the most I get is about 7 mpbs. That is fast enough for me, since I don't download games or movies.
