Yeah I read the same article earlier today Aussie.

I'm not sure what to make of it all. IMO .. it's all suss.

Having said that .. I personally hope Corby comes home to serve out the remaining term of her jail sentence.

I think Corby ought to be deported back to her country ie Australia. After all .. isn't that what we do to those who visit us here in Oz and commit crimes?

Ahhhhh no. We make them serve their sentence here in Oz, then deport them back to their country of origin.

Plus she committed the crime in Indonesia, therefore its entirely up to them to decide what they want to do with her, and entirely improper for us to demand her back.

Also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Au ... ted_abroad shows a list of some Australians currently imprisoned abroad. Why do we not hear demands to bring them home? I'm guessing its because none of them fall into the beach babe thing that Schapelle does.

There are such things as prisoner exchange agreements.....but there is no current such agreement between Australia and Indonesia.
