....and what is your problem with this? Are pensioners never to receive a relevant benefit from their Government, especially one which addresses what is likely to be their sole source of news and entertainment? Without the box, no TV.

And as for double the cost of the cheapest. Why ought pensioners be provided with crap gear at taxpayer expense? Surely, if a benefit is to be given, it ought not be an el cheapo likely to fail quickly. That would defeat the whole purpose of the scheme.
