http://blogs.crikey.com.au/pollbludger/ ... ent-833275Good to see the old Queensland National Party trick of walking both sides of the political fence at once is still faithfully practiced. Another old favorite is to say one thing when they are in the bush and the opposite when in Parliament in the city.
Ms Jones questioned why LNP members did not vote against the North Stradbroke Island sustainability bill when it was debated in State Parliament last week.http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/environ ... 1dfd1.html“All of [Mr Newman's] members, who he said he controls, all got up and spoke against the bill,” she said.
“Yet when it came to having a vote, they squibbed it.”
Ms Jones said Mr Newman wanted to avoid hard decisions.
“He wants the people of Ashgrove to think that he supports the end for sand mining on North Stradbroke Island, but he wants the mining companies to think he is on their side,” she said.
Feed the chooks, do they?
