Pokies regulation

Post by Jovial Monk » Mon Apr 11, 2011 9:17 pm

From Poss’ twitter page:
Woolworths - the fresh pokies people. Their involvement in the pro-pokies campaign is brand damage waiting to happen

@GrogsGamut Woolworths own 75% of Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group (mostly to get liquor licenses, but that's another story)

@GrogsGamut AHL own over well over 10,000 machines - dominate Queensland to boot

@GrogsGamut It's got very little to do with struggling small local clubs!

Indeed! RT @journeytime: @crazyjane13 @Pollytics Woolies also own a bunch of hotels too. As well as the pokies within http://bit.ly/htX1fP
Like that, Woolworths the fresh pokies people

Pokies are a blight on our community and should be more heavily regulated. (I wont say banned because everyone has the right to play these steaming pile of excriment if they want too!)

Whom ever invented these life sucking machines is the biggest vulva in the history of the world and should have that written on their tombstone!

Plough... amen. They should be banished to the "outdoor" area with the ciggies. Quite a crossover in clientelle already :|

But I will add... with the retreat of the pokies, I am feeling an advance of the other gambling "services" into the social arena.
