WorkChoices is dead, dead, dead and dead!

Post by Jovial Monk » Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:45 pm

Julia just made a tiny concession, to have small business defined as less than 15 full time employees, to be 'reviewed' in 2011--after the next election when that peanut Fielding has fucked off back to his church or where ever.

But WorkChoices is *D*E*A*D*

Fibs had no say because they were opposing, when will dickweed Turdbull learn, do you think? Never?

And isn't Julia magnificent? Would hate to play poker with her!

Just one tiny, temporary concession! With all that pressure on her shoulders!

Even the Fibs respect her. Mincing Poodle Whyne is way outclassed, Julia regularly rips him a new one :) Arse like a colander Christopher Whyne has!

Thousands of people facing unfair dismissal with no redundancy pay should write to thank her!

A few businesses will sack a few staff to get under the 15 limit--if you can only run your business by sacking people unfairly your business is not going to last. Other, the vast majority of businesses will not be affected: if their business suffers due to the downturn of course they can sack staff! No need for unfair dismissal.

And I see hebe is celebrating :)

Sylvester, my dear chap!

Unworkers? Those undead workers? Fuck me dead that is a weirder theory than any of White Indigene!

I am sure fathers, working mothers, working single parents are celebrating they cannot just be flung on the scrapheap without redundency while working to feed, clothe, house & educate etc their family. I think you need a psychiatrist Neferti, I really do!

Hehehehe I see Dubious Priest has posted something (he is on my ignore list) and the weeping wailing and ranting of right wing dickheads just puts the cherry on the top of this day!

Oh frabjous day, Calloo! Callay! he chortled in his joy.
And has thou slain the Jabberwock workchoices?
Come to my arms my beamish boy!

(quoted from probably faulty memory)

More like, incisive comment from the drunk on box wine!

That comment came from someone who couldn't hack private business and so became a public servant.

It's easy to say that this is great news - but what about the businesses who can no longer afford to keep their employees on? Times are tough at the moment - wages are being reduced and many are losing their jobs. Isn't this just going to exacerbate financial problems if small companies over 15 people have to jump through hoops to dismiss someone?
