Our second oldest political party has lost its heart and its courage. It is nought but an irrelevant hanger on of the Fibs and they voted against the measures to aid struggling farmers. It was the member for New England, Tony Windsor, Independent, who rose to ask about farmers not making an income if they would miss out these measures.
Not a single fucking Nat, not a single fucking Fib in a rural electorate cared to ask about these farmers. No guts, no courage to say "Farmers deserve these bonuses" and cross the floor. Not a single one cared!
I think there will be some more rural independents like Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott in the House after the next election and less Nats!
The Nats too are on the slippery slope to extinction

Is there hope for the Nats? A decent leader, some inspired campaigning and as Fib star wanes perhaps the Nats could win back country seats from Fibs?
They better think of getting rid of Truss and the stupid Barnaby Joyce.
And change their name back to Country party.
MP in Parliament "I am a country member"
Gough Whitlam "We remember"

They are a casualty of Australia's demographic change over the years. We are more and more an urban-centric society as more and more rural sons and daughters go to town to actually be able to make a living.
"But you will run your fluffy bunny mouth at me. And I will take it, to play poker."

More than that tho, Boxhead. A lot of rural seats have Fib (or Lab in a few cases) members and a growing number of independents. The party is letting its constituency down in its subservience to the Fibs.

The Nats should play on their green strengths - they have the knowledge. And people on the land have a hell of a lot of support, if we could only make them realise it.
The better I get to know people, the more I find myself loving dogs.

To do that, they would have to leave the coalition and be more independent. None have the guts!
