Sea turtle experts in Brisbane for world symposium

Posted February 16, 2009 09:16:00

About 800 people from 86 countries will converge on Brisbane this week for the world's largest meeting on sea turtle conservation.

It is the first time the annual Symposium on Sea Turtle Biology and Conservation is being held in the Southern Hemisphere.

International Sea Turtle Society spokesman Dr Colin Limpus says Australia can both teach and learn from other countries.

"We're way ahead of folks in other countries in some areas, particularly in how to deliver conservation management," he said.
And Rudd just quietly builds his green credentials--notice Green support slightly declining in the last few polls?
