This is sad, and it's wrong. The Australian media have a lot to answer for. Tall poppy knocking may be an Australian tradition but you would think the media would act a bit more responsibly from time to time.

No wonder it's hard for women in politics when the media join in the female-bashing.

They will go easier on her successor for the sole reason he will be male.
