Kev's NPT kickstart

Post by slimD » Mon Jun 09, 2008 10:13 pm

Good on you Kev. Best of luck in trying to get nuclear powers in reducing their nukes. Question is, have you got the (kiwi) balls to tell all visiting nuclear armed/powered ships that they are no longer welcome here? Have you got the balls to close all uranium mines (face it, some of the processed uranium from power stations are going to end up in someone's weapons.) Its all grandiose talk, but in this age when every tin pot dictatorship wants the ultimate power, do you really think the "free world" is going to get rid of their arms?

Hi Slim D.

Nice call.

Kevin was a diplomat for years, so he knows how to say nice things that will never happen.

I guess I should say hello to to Slim;

but did you notice the Labor gang in the red Nth, are letting China take-over a large share of an Uranium mine?

Sure, if Howard was in, there would have been howls and screams if such things occured; the country by now would be in uproar. But because it is the love of our life Labor that is letting and making all the nasty things happen, everyone turns to obfuscation.

Not good.

Remember the days when everyone said that our primary products would be returned to us in a different form. Well here's one for the free radicals to contemplate, seens how they voted and lobbied for it.

Is superman Rudd able to change the mind of one CCP leader? I think not.
It is more likley the other way around, but we already know that dont we.

Whats happening is a sell out big time; and I wouldnt be the least suprised to find that governance soon proves to be to outsourced. And this because the BBGen have just about had their day, have secured their personal futures, and can now begin to let go- of the Country.

That's a gold and copper mine in Central Australia that they're looking at. They bought more than 50% in a huge uranium company in SA under Howard - I can't remember the name and couldn't be bothered looking it up.

Howard pathed the way for these Chinese deals - if anything Swan has put in place some legislation that will stop the Chinese government or any of it's offshoot corporations from owning any more of Australia and only allow individuals or private companies to invest. It's better than nothing.

Yes, Swannee knocked back a takeover by some Chinese mining company.

So WI doesn't know what he is talking about? Why am I not surprised?
