Exposed - The only reason they got rid of plastic bags was to increase their profits. It is absolutely gobsmacking the number of sheeple who are effectively brainwashed!
Both Coles and Woolworths have en-masse pumped out more little pieces of planet destroying plastic than you can poke a stick at.
Both 'give' them to you for every $30 you spend in their establishment. Woolworths full year net profit after tax in 2018 was $1.724 billion. Coles profit for the same year was $1.5 billion.
These extremely profitable corporations are giving away a token 2 cent piece of plastic in return for the profit they make from those $30 block purchases you are making.
There are a couple of genuine collectors of these little bits of otherwise worthless plastic. The overwhelming vast majority are unwrapped, swapped in the school yard, and taken to live on a childs floor in a different home.
The next time mum or dad clean the room for their progeny these now annoying pieces are dutifully placed in the rubbish bin.
They become landfill if the journey is successful.
They otherwise become micro plastics after being exposed to the elements and mother nature.
These corporations take no responsibility for the detrimental nature of their promotional materials, only being concerned with the ever mighty push for bigger profits.
First they convince you to work for them gratis by way of 'self serve checkouts', and are now using you to increase their profits and promote destroying our environment at an even faster rate than an adolescent Extinction Rebellion activist living at mum and dad's place.
Are you one of the sheeple, or do you shop responsibly?
IF you believe anything else - you are part of the flock of sheeple.
