Very very sad but no posthumous medal will help him. Things are better now but active duty dogs have been left behind, shuffled around and treated with insensitivity and very badly in the past.

Many aren't even allowed to come home and live out their days with their handlers.

That needs to be addressed more than a token medal after death.
