I doubt this will be the end of it though. Those are huge odds. It will be interesting to see which ministers lose their jobs over this?

Never a doubt!

Because the prospect of Lord Voldamort aka Turnbull leading the Liberals was unpalatable to say the least.

Malcolm has burnt too many bridges within Liberals ranks, he should take his bat and ball and go home.

Turnbull should resign.

No-one has anything on Turnbull. He's being used as a scapegoat. 29% of the population will be very happy that Abbott is staying on (for the time being anyway).

Turnbull the traitor brought himself undone Mantra.

The only task Tony has ahead of him is to fumigate the traitors and opportunists (closet leftards) from his party.

We knew they would bring themselves undone eventually.

Ps- Theres really no such thing as a secret vote.

Yes, well I hope that Abbott does another shuffle of the Cabinet and gets rid of those dissenters. He should also do something about Peta but the problem there is that her hubby, Brian, is the Federal Director of the Liberal Party, so they are a "pair". Might have to get rid of both of them. ;)

Turnbull has to go. He could start his own Progressive Party, he has plenty of money. He is arrogant and thinks it is his due to be Prime Minister. The conservatives can't stand him. Much as Abbott isn't very popular, he is way ahead of Turnbull to the conservative voters. Apparently, the Liberal Ministers had an avalanche of phone calls, emails and so forth threatening to vote INFORMAL if Abbott was sacked and Turnbull replaced him. So there!

Probably not. It didn't seem so yesterday when Abbott demanded a commitment from his ministers to support him with an underlying threat that they would go down with him if he lost.

Anyway he's been given notice. For the sake of the Coalition, you can only hope his popularity improves after this, although I doubt it. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

It seems all those who dislike Turnbull can read his mind. His actions have shown otherwise though.

Malcolm the narcissist should join the UAMP, Un-Australian Malcommunist Party.

He'd be the only one in it and would forever remain unchallenged within the ranks of his own one man party.

At the end of the day Mantra, Australia still has the PM they voted for and two thirds of Liberal party members remain true to Tony.

All parties have their dissidents, traitors, troublemakers, opportunists, narcissists, it's just Labor had more.

Tony is still our PM.

I guess Gillard and Rudd would be feeling out of sorts right about now.
