The labour market is just hanging in there with strong fiscal support. My personal feeling is that it could be even bigger and targetted specifically at direct job creation but hey, that's just me. Keep 'er rolling Swanny.

Yup, but with the Fibs against the stimulus and so requiring the support of the nutjob Fielding, the media tart Mr X and the green fuckwits probably it was as much as could be done. The low interest rate also helps and that won't go up any time soon.

Truffles on Henry (warning: stupidity alert!)

In a sharply worded dismissal of Dr Henry's value as an independent economic authority, the Opposition Leader said yesterday that Dr Henry was an architect of the $42 billion stimulus program and it was natural he would support its continuation. "He is not an independent economics commentator, you know; he is the secretary of the Treasury, so he is like an ambassador," Mr Turnbull said in London. "His job is to go out and defend the government's actions because he is part of that process, part of the government."

Turnbull has no idea, if Labor are smart they'll highlight all of Turnbulls negative talk of senior PS come the next election and ask Turnbull during the campaign who he intends to replace them all with if elected.
