PUP and Motor Enthusiast Party sign MOU.
Clive now has a cartel of four in the Senate, although Ricky Muir remains separate from PUP. PUP will be running the Country. But, never forget that Clive has deep conservative roots.
Still, look out Tony.
Just watched a live coverage on ABC of a Presser involving Clive, his three and Ricky Muir. Fuck me, they are light weight, and poor old Clive was desperate to ensure they did not get much of a chance to open their mouths. Word already on the street about Jacqui Lambie is that she enjoys a 'beer' way too much. If that is true, it won't be long before she comes undone.

No big deal...
If they become a problem the Coalition will call a DD.
By by motorists, by by liberal democrats, by by sporting group and maybe even by by clive and co.

Abbott will never go the DD. It will cost him more at the hands of PUP, and Labor will recover given how Abbott has hit the ground running with stuff up after stuff up, including the expenses rorts.

Leftards and those of the progressive left who are both stupid and in denial.
You just qualified Aussie.
They have more to fear from a DD than Abbott and the Coalition.
I watched Clive last night... who in their right mind would vote for the bloke. Clive is in it for Clive. The guy is a bufoon.
So far the new government is doing fine...
Clive will vote to repeal the CO2 Tax and the MRRT... or be seen as a hypocrite.
2 more promises Abbott and Co will keep.

I saw him last night on Lateline as well. Where did he act like a buffoon?
On the carbon tax, PUP Policy is clear. It will vote to scrap it, but retrospectively. PUP wants refunds made to those who have paid, and it wants a national commission to investigate the issue, and 'listen to the voice of the Australian people.'
The MRRT is not referred to in PUP Policy. I doubt Clive gives a stuff about it, as I reckon he would never have paid a cent under it.

there is no way it can be retrospective.... he won't get this... nor the other stupid claims.Aussie wrote:I saw him last night on Lateline as well. Where did he act like a buffoon?

I thought you watched clive last night?
Clive is incapable of a straight answer, you'd have better luck getting sense from Joh.TONY JONES: Do you consider your votes on crucial issues for the Abbott Government - for the Abbott agenda, in fact, like the carbon tax and the mining tax, to be bargaining chips or are they matters of principle on which you would vote no matter what?
CLIVE PALMER: Well I think they're matters of principle, but you can't say how you'll vote on anything until you can properly understand it, until you've got a copy of the bill. It's very immature to go and say I'm going to vote for or against something and you might find when the bill comes it's totally different to what you think.
But based on that you'd expect him to support the repeal of both.
I think the agenda is well known, and Clive stated they are matters of principle, I think the word repeal is easily understood so I'd expect him to support it on principle.
As for being a bufoon.... you just have to listen to the guy to understand why I say that.

It's nice bringing idiotic forces closer together. How much will these piles of manure end up costing us, I wonder?Aussie wrote:Clive now has a cartel of four in the Senate, although Ricky Muir remains separate from PUP. Re: PUP and Motor Enthusiast Party sign MOU.
Bit skewed off topic per se, but I'm not too concerned with Palmer's crew, or any other of these small single issue groups/parties.
I'm just glad that the farce known as 'preferential voting' has finally been scammed by someone other than the Lib/Nat, ALP/Green crews.
I came to realise long ago there's no point battling against absurd policies that have or appear to have consensus support, but rather just let them fail by their own lack of merit.
I expect 'Affirmative Action' to fall over next, due to its breeding of incompetence. What else can you expect from a regime where a percieved disadvantage trumps merit, aptitude and ability?

If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Hey Rory, Aussie's actually correct on the DD.
None of the major parties want to risk it.
Ozzie's are currently supporting small or new ratbag crews as a protest against the political class.
DD means even more small, single or petty issue crews, which results in big compromises from the Govt to keep them on side.
I think it's funny ... we only need a couple more ratbag crews in parliament and we'll be as dysfunctional as PNG.

Actually he's not correct unless it occurs as he stated.Outlaw Yogi wrote:Hey Rory, Aussie's actually correct on the DD.

those Aussies that supported accidentally the liberal democratic party will not do so again... that on its own will be enough to gain senate control.
