A recount would put Labor and the Palmer United Party at risk of losing the seats they have won on the current numbers.

It's a good idea. They should double check the votes. The Greens have been vilified for so long that it wouldn't surprise anyone if the votes had been counted incorrectly and probably deliberately.

What is hilarious is the Liberal Democrats party who so many Liberals voted for incorrectly ended up with $1 million. He'll join up with the Hunters party and hold the Coalition to ransom no doubt.

The Liberal Democrats Party supports more rights for gun owners, legalising marijuana and gay marriage and wants all government entities, including the ABC, SBS, Australia Post and Medibank Private, sold.

NSW senator-elect David Leyonhjelm, who admits he benefited from voters mistaking him for a Liberal Party candidate on the ballot paper, will receive more than $1 million from taxpayers as a result of his hefty primary vote.

His Liberal Democratic Party will pocket the money, despite planning to oppose public funding for political parties. ''We might be new but we're not stupid,'' he told Fairfax Media.

No not at all. They have got the right to request a recount. They're not the first party to request one. They have been denigrated and vilified for 3 years and it's obvious that many Australians will do anything in their power to remove them. There is no guarantee that the vote counters are meticulously honest and unbiased.

I've got no idea. He was just some unknown with an agenda who managed to claim many of the votes intended for the Libs. These minor parties and independents as you well know - often hold the balance of power and get their unpalatable demands pushed through because the government needs their support.

This David Leyonhjelm wants everyone who wants a gun to have one - so does the Hunters Party. If they join forces to support some Coalition legislation - who knows what they will demand in exchange.

This was the last government's undoing with the Greens and the Carbon tax.
