The word "Dhimmitude" is found in the new health care bill; so what does it mean?
Thought this was interesting and worth passing on.
Obama used it in the health care bill.
Now isn't this interesting? It is also included in the health care law.
Dhimmitude -- I had never heard the word until now. I typed it into Google and started reading. Pretty interesting; It's on page 107 of the healthcare bill. I looked this up on Google and yep, it exists... It is a REAL word.
Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim populations conquered through jihad (Holy War). Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-Muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam.
Obama Care allows the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be ,"gambling", "risk-taking", and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this.

How convenient. So I, as a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivable, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health insurance needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-Muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize Muslims.

It's bullshit, Rorschach. The big clue is whoever wrote that doesn't even bother to tell us which bill, house or senate (there's two kinds), this supposedly happened with. Then there's the fact that such bullshit would have made headlines on every single network, yet a cursory google search only shows either the bullshit article you posted or sites debunking it. Not a single credible news agency reported it, despite this being something that the GOP would have jumped on as political ammunition during the last presidential election.

Is there a particular political group that is pushing Obama's religious beliefs as a negative? Seems to me they'd be on the fringe. i'm not sure the Tea party would be pushing it so openly like this.

Well, the thing is there are people that seem to think because Obama's father is Kenyan, that despite his mother being a US citizen and Barrack being born in the US, somehow he's not an actual US citizen (By law all you need is to either be born in the US or have a parent that is a US citizen to be born a citizen). These guys are a sub-set of the extreme far right of the GOP's voter base called "Bithers". They're the idiots that keep demanding Obama show his birth certificate and such, mostly a bunch or harmless nutjobs with the odd billionaire or two among their membership (Donald Trump and the Koch brothers are Birthers, and you might know the Koch brothers as being the guys behind the Tea Party).

Now, among the Birthers is an even further right (seriously, these dumbshits are so conservative I'm surprised they actually figured out how to make fire, much less use the internet), that believe that since President Obama's father was Muslim and the president briefly attended an Islamic school as a child that this means Obama must be a Muslim. Never mind that Obama has been a Baptist for his entire life (his mother baptized him when he was a baby), or that the pastor of Obama's church (this dude is a massively racist asshole, by the way. I mean the pastor, not Obama), has spoken highly of Obama's faith (Whether or not a US politician actually believes in God is open to debate, but in order to get elected you kind of have to say you love Jesus or be a Jew, very few non-Christian/Jewish elected officials a the Federal level). Like any group of conspiracy theorist wackos, reality isn't a problem as they just repeat the same shit over and over as if by repeating it they make if fact.

Anyway, the story is pretty much full of shit from the word go.

Detroit is an interesting city. Used to be the economic center of the world back in the early 20th century. Mostly had to do with a very large amount of our heavy industry being located in the general area. This was the city that won WWII, with a single factory, the Detroit Tank Arsenal, producing more tanks in 1943 than Nazi Germany produced the entire war. Prior to the 1980s and the proliferation of cheap foreign autos, if you drove a car in the US there was a 3 out of 5 chance the car or truck you were in was built with in 100km of Detroit.

Problem is post-WWII, as rebuilding from the war happened and economies normalized and international trade blossomed into multinational hell. At first this sounds like it would be good, but the problem came as corporations twigged to the idea that they could move their manufacturing overseas for some things and have their goods produced much cheaper, and imported goods from foreign competitors forced a price war in many industrial sectors that some US companies simply couldn't keep up with due to the high cost of union labor. Combine this with our economy steadily shifting over time from massive industrial exporter to a massive financial and information technologies based economy and you get the Rust Belt, an area of the upper US filed with rusting factories and mills. This hit the entire US over the last 50 years, but this decline was particularly devastating for Detroit, whose entire economy was based solely on manufacturing (with a badass Motown and Classic Rock soundtrack).

So 50 years of economic decline. Basically Detroit is a perfect example of why a society must remain economically flexible, and what happened there could very easily happen on a national level if we don't unfuck ourselves.

That aside, I have always suspected Obama is not what he claims to be, faith and lineage wise, but whether or not this influences his political process is another thing again, and somewhat difficult to ascertain with any real degree of certainty.
