A High Court decision has opened the way for Ms Beckett to sue NSW for compensation.
Formerly known as Roseanne Catt, Ms Beckett spent 10 years behind bars after being convicted in 1991 of eight charges but was released after a judicial inquiry found she had been set up.

This is a good example for not supporting the death penalty.

Yes, I agree that naughty Queensland taxi drivers should be hanged. 
Bring Back HANGING (or Guillotine) and knitting and an audience so that those affected by a really bad taxi driver can get "closure". 
Seriously. Surely DNA evidence will prove it? Lots of innocent people in gaol ........... until DNA could prove they were NOT the perpetrator? Another reason NOT to have a Death Penalty ....some of those on "Death Row" have been proved to be INNOCENT. Imagine how you would feel if you KNEW you had nothing to do with it but was sent to Gaol regardless. Cops, like Taxi drivers, I do not trust to be above board. Some are, obviously, but the rest of them are sneaky little shits, like Arsie.
