Today someone from SA was saying the local media were reporting she had died.

What was special about Judy? Her son was the first victim of Bevan Spencer Von Einem. Found with his anus horribly mutilated, that is how Bevan got his kicks, sodomising kids then going on to worse things. This is Judy's history, not what made her special.

She was special because as a result of the horrible death of her son she campaigned long and doggedly to set up Victims of Crime and have VoC laws passed by the SA Parlt. She did say Liberal Attorney Generals were not at all sympathetic but that Labor AG Chris Sumners listened to her and now we have VoC laws and a compensation fund.

That was not all, Judith several times fronted the camera and worked with SA Police to keep the story current and to warn others of what had happened. That is, she deliberately put herself in a position where she relived her son's death to warn others, something most people in her situation would avoid.

On Pollbludger she was generally cheerful, except when the darkness in her life came to the front again, some stupid TV 'doco' about her son's murder etc she would go and correct the mistakes of the doco.

May she Rest in Peace.

Seems von Einem not the only murderer and Judy was fighting to get the other murderers found and tried.

Unfortunately and typical for the crap Murdoch tabloids the article didn't mention what Judy was most proud of, the Victims of Crime laws and compensation fund.
