What a way to go. This leader was killed by being blown up with a mortar for having a drink during the mourning period of their dear leader. Imagine what would happen if we had an aussie wake in NK..... there would be bodies flying everywhere.

Seriously... this is serious fucked up. Should we negotiate with such a bunch of crazies.

North Korean army minister 'executed with mortar round
A North Korean army minister was executed with a mortar round for reportedly drinking and carousing during the official mourning period after Kim Jong-il's death,

Kim Chol, vice minister of the army, was taken into custody earlier this year on the orders of Kim Jong-un, who assumed the leadership after the death of his father in December.

On the orders of Kim Jong-un to leave "no trace of him behind, down to his hair," according to South Korean media, Kim Chol was forced to stand on a spot that had been zeroed in for a mortar round and "obliterated."

The execution of Kim Chol is just one example of a purge of members of the North Korean military or party who threatened the fledgling regime of Kim Jong-un.

So far this year, 14 senior officials have fallen victim to the purges, according to intelligence data provided to Yoon Sang-hyun, a member of the South Korean Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee.

Here is an old innovation that we could apply to our unemployed to get them into work.

A very effective back to work programme, a great model.

Satellite images show gulags still operational in North Korea
Satellite images suggest that contrary to reports that Pyongyang had shut down its largest labour prison in June, Camp 22 is still serving as a penal gulag for thousands of inmates.

"Harvesting of crops continues, as does coal production, making it not yet clear that the camp has closed and that North Korean authorities have been slowly transferring small sections of prisoners out of Camp 22 and replacing them with a regular workforce from other locations," the group said in a statement.

...
No inmate, most of whom are serving life sentences for political crimes, religious beliefs or are purged senior party members, has been known to escape from North Korea.

As many as 50,000 inmates are held at the camp, producing furniture or labouring in coal mines or the fields. In total, some 100,000 people are believed to be held in North Korean labour camps.

that is just sick... speaking of which... you gonna apply it to the sick and injured, the old and decrepid too?

Funnily enough here in Aus they wouldn't be allowed to work in the mines. Mining companies wouldn't allow it or train them to do the job properly. Etc, etc, etc... just as it is for able bodied people who are unskilled in the industry here.

As for Nth Korea.... what do you do with a country populated by the ignorant and brainwashed?

IF they actually have something to blow up, in which direction do you think they would direct it?

I very much doubt Australia but if Gizzard continues with the whiney voice the North Koreans might get a bit antsy. They don't like females over there, do they?

That's because we live in the western world where individuals have rights and the right to form collectives.

Over throw the despots and implement western democracy... hold on... that hasn't worked anywhere we tried it.

Overthrow NK and let SK run it. Merge the two states. Germany did it.... a proven model.

Towards South Korea. That's what they will do. Then SK will have the opportunity to sort these gus out. It would depend on where China stood on the matter to determine if it was possible.

[Tic on]They love females... as subservants of the men. You know... their rightful place in a well organised society.

All Asian males think that way, I gather and ALL older Caucasian males who can't get a woman of their own accord "buy" Asians online. So? What "race" are the most subservient, then?

No that's because mining companies don't want to train people or pay then commensurate wages. They'd rather employ outside workers and pay them less.
