Dunno WTF a “GALP” is, but the blame for the misadventure in Indo waters is with the people who blocked a sensible solution like the Malaysian solution, with off shore processing and the establishment of an actual queue.

There is also no such thing as illegal migrants.

The GALP are the govt. They need to work together the same as they did when foisted the carbon tax on everyone who doesn't want it.

Why would the coalition vote for a solution that was always going to be deemed as illegal as the high court did with the Malaysian solution

They are now guilty of killing illegal immigrants.

It is a hung Parliament. Sensible measures like the Malaysia Solution sometimes need the support of the Opposition, depends on how many Independents oppose a measure, like that softhead Green Bandt.

Govt even would have included Nauru. Libs opposed it, so same old same old. 200 men, women & children are in danger of drowning or have drowned.

An amendment to the Migration Act would have allowed the Malaysian Solution be legal.

Abbott wanted BOATS! to win the next election.

In the washup monkey man took BOATS away as an issue. The blood is on Abbott’s hand and whoever he consulted with.

Short of creating a land bridge, offshore processing is the only way to avoid the leaky boats sinking.

Abbott should approach Gillard and offer to make the Malaysia Solution work, that would be one good thing he could do.
