Shame on the Victorian government

Tossing Autistic children out of their special schools and into mainstream "regular" schools in order for the Victorian government to save a buck.

Would they kick a quad out of their wheelchair to save a buck also?

That's a Liberal government for you Mel. Didn't Jeff Kennett do the same when he was premier years ago? The first budget cuts are always made to those groups who need the most help.

O'Farrell is doing the same in NSW to severely injured workers. The Libs have always adapted their policies to the survival of the fittest.

It's also a Labor government 'thingy' Mantra as they have cut funding in NSW 'special' schools also, this and made getting placements in support classes in mainstream schools damn near impossible, this and closed down their previously "government funded" autistic 'specific' schools a few years ago in NSW.

Due to the budget blow-out, all our state governments (Australia wide) are trying to cut corners wherever they can.

Sadly, it's often those without much of a voice who suffer most.

 ..... So, it's not just a Victorian thing, it's a Labor government thing, nation wide.

Both parties have the good and the bad in their policies. It is unfortunate that we have so little choice in this wonderful country. Political parties are self serving only and there are few politicians who would qualify as having integrity and the good of the country in their sights.

The Victorian libs also allow the big developers who give to the party - preferential and unfettered access to development. This isn't allowed in NSW.

Old habits die hard Mantra, Labor were in power here in Victoria for a long time before we had a Liberal state government.
