Mr Thomson has been under pressure over allegations he misused a union credit card while national secretary of the Health Services Union.

He has been accused of rorting more than $100,000 of members' funds by using the card for cash advances, high living and prostitutes.

Mr Thomson denies all allegations against him.

The Opposition has pursued the allegations vigorously in parliament, while Mr Thomson is currently being investigated by Fair Work Australia, as well as New South Wales and Victorian police.

Fair Work Australia released a report on alleged rorts in the HSU's Victorian branch.

A second report into matters concerning Mr Thomson's NSW branch is yet to be released.
