https://www.fairfieldchampion.com.au/st ... bonnyrigg/Fairfield Local Area Commander, Detective Superintendent Peter Lennon has asked for public assistance for what he described as a “stupid act” in regards to a public place shooting that occurred in Bonnyrigg on Tuesday night, in which four homes were shot.
About 8.30pm (Tuesday, August 21), several shots were fired into four different homes on Katinka Street, Bonnyrigg. Three of these homes are neighbouring to each other.
There was also a parked vehicle which was shot which has been seized for forensic examination. A number of bullets struck fences and another into a window that went into a backyard. It is believed six shots were fired in total.
Police believe one of the homes, which is known to police, was the main target of the offenders. The occupants are cooperating with police.

So, you're going to cherrypick the news, and see if you can find a pattern in what strikes your interest.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2018 9:43 amLet's keep a running tally of the escalating crime in Sydney's hot spot of the usual suspects. Remember only some of them make the news.
Let's see if we can spot the pattern?
Fascinating.

https://www.9news.com.au/2018/09/03/02/ ... ult-policeA man has died after paramedics were attacked by dozens of angry men in Sydney's west while trying to save a patient from a drug overdose.
Paramedics were called to a Riverwood unit block at about 8am yesterday for a 25-year-old man suffering a suspected drug overdose, the Australian Paramedics Association said in a statement.
Family members of the dying man became irate and tried to intervene, the APA says.
Up to 80 angry males quickly gathered at the unit and allegedly threatened the health workers and charged at a female paramedic, injuring her shoulder.
"Paramedics were forced to fend off angry males who eventually forced them to stop treating the patient who was in cardiac arrest and subsequently died," APA secretary Steve Pearce said.
The paramedics barricaded themselves inside the unit as the violent mob demanded a defibrillator and drugs believing they could treat the young man, Mr Pearce added.
A large number of police officers arrived at the scene, including the Public Order Riot Squad, to rescue the paramedics.
But the patient had died.
"On this occasion the stupidity of these people have taken the life of their family member," Mr Pearce said.
"We don't want any more people to face the horrifying situation of their loved ones dying because paramedics are unable to treat patients after threats of violence."
He called for faster intervention by police and said attacks on paramedics in the Bankstown area had become a regular occurrence.
Hmmm what a lovely place Bankstown is now but let's not mention the demographic /sarc

I have been neglecting this but that does not mean the violence has reduced ...

https://au.news.yahoo.com/man-accused-r ... 03538.htmlA man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy has been screamed at as he walked free from a Penrith court.
Police allege Moud Nuri met the 13-year-old online and went to his western Sydney house when the boy cut off contact.
The 40-year-old is accused of raping the 13-year-old boy in the front yard of his home.
Nuri was arrested on Sunday at his Kellyville Ridge home and reappeared in court today.
Police said the pair met on a social media app on Friday and exchanged images and personal details.
The boy later deleted the app, cutting off contact with Nuri.
But it’s alleged he went to the teen’s home and pushed him to the ground before sexually assaulting him.
A short time later the boy’s mother intervened and Nuri drove away.
His bail was continued today.
A crowd gathered outside court was angry an accused child sex offender could be freed on bail.
As part of his bail conditions, Nuri had to surrender his passport and report to police three times a week.
He has been ordered not to go within 500 metres of the victim’s home, or make attempts to contact the boy.
Bail?

https://au.news.yahoo.com/hospital-lock ... 40556.htmlA man allegedly brandishing a knife and making bomb threats has been shot by police at Nepean Hospital in Sydney’s west.
He is now undergoing emergency surgery as the medical precinct remains in lockdown.
The victim was not a patient, but a man who confronted police just outside the emergency department.
It’s believed he began making threats before police turned to lethal force.
He survived with a stomach wound and is now being treated inside the hospital.
“There were people everywhere, we got instantly put into lockdown, and then they gave us a 10 minute gap to evacuate,” witness Demi Gregory said.
The man’s threats were said to have included a reference to a bomb, possibly in a car outside.
Witnesses said there was mass confusion and panic.
“I couldn’t really make out what the guy was saying because he was screaming, I just heard the cops screaming at him to get down on the ground,” one person said.
As police searched the area, the hospital was placed in lockdown and all ambulances diverted to other hospitals.
And so it goes on
