Well I guess the comments are all open to interpretation. I did see his poem, but I had replied to a few different comments from Geoff already so left it. I enjoyed his feedback on the fast tracking post and I saw today he has commented on a Steve jobs post I wrote about a year ago. I especially enjoyed his contribution to the twitter post.
Brittany is a fan of the Facebook page and we spoke to her after she commented, she admitted to having commented quite rashly and chose to bow out. We chose not to delete the comment as Geoff seemed to deal with it himself. Noni was questioning his definition of conservatism, I don't think she was trying to paint Geoff as a hypocrite but clarify some of his points.
Ultimately the comments on the embrace post were sparked by Geoff's comments. Again, if he has a problem with them - we know he is a reader/contributor of this forum so he will most likely see this - he can contact us via email and let us know.
And yes, so far a lot of our readers have shared our viewpoints so Geoff is the guinea pig of an opposite view point, but text is open to interpretation and what you interpreted as a light comment, others have found rude. I'm not Geoff so I don't know the intention behind his comments but I appreciate the time he has taken to go through the site, sometimes I do wonder how much of the post he reads before choosing to comment though.
Feel free to comment on the posts, we love to hear others thoughts but on issues such as gay marriage, in terms of our site, if you hold an opinion similar to Geoff's you will be in the minority. I respect both yours and Geoff's right to disagree with any of our content, but remember it is hard to determine tone in text. While Geoff may have been offended by Noni, Brittany and Lucy - others have been offended by Geoff, whether or not that was the intention.
And again, email us with any concerns or if you'd like to contribute to the site.
Thanks for the feedback, we have taken it on board. :
