It's where such laws lead. Sooner or later someone who has a legitimate reason for breaking into a neighbours property will get shot, or some innocent bystander will get caught in the crossfire... and all for a couple of grand worth of dream.

why don't we just hand all material possessions over to one big socialist pool and it can be a free for all without the need for hard work or the risk of being shot and the govt can distribute it as they see fit.

I don't explain because I don't think there is any point in explaining. It was obvious to everyone else - so much so that they could explain it perfectly well. If you still don't get it, there's nothing I can do for you.
