The man in question is a criminal and it isn't him who needs treatment it is is daughter, who will be accompanied by her brother. They denied the father but not the brother. If the brother were not there to accompany her the father may well have been allowed entry under Medevac.
I don't see why anyone needs to be accompanied anyway.

Missing the point, Black Orchid. il Duce' Dutton maintained that with the legislation, as passed, it was impossible for him to forbid any Asylum Seeker to be medevac'ed from Nauru. He then proved he, himself was wrong and stopped one Asylum Seeker from coming to Australia.
As for someone who has been abandoned by the world to the Gulag of Nauru needing accompanying, well it's obviouse you've never faced a similar situation.

No Brian it is you who is missing the point. The father that Dutton denied access to is NOT the patient. Think about that til the penny drops.
Oh and guess what? She has family here and thus does NOT need an entourage.

Immaterial. Il Duce' maintained that this legislation prevented him from denying access to Australia. He proved himself wrong.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 3:47 pmNo Brian it is you who is missing the point. The father that Dutton denied access to is NOT the patient. It's not irrelevant at all. He has NOT denied a patient. Only a hanger on.brian ross wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 6:28 pmImmaterial. Damn journalists and Opposition cannot be satisfied with the first explanation!?
Why must they keep digging to actually find the truth ?
(Personally I bet there were several more "explanations" that were "war gamed" at each step just to see what sounded the most plausible at the time. Bet the money was spent on research into how some male appendages could be attached to public servants to stand up to Il Duce)
