The boats has slowed like they always did at that time of the year due to weather. Without the libs, the people smugglers would have kept the flow going because they know Labor and their supporters are softcocks who they can take advantage of.

They laugh their arses off at softcocks like you.

Yes they were. Rudd in the last couple of months of his leadership had instigated a hard line policy on stopping the boats and when the Libs got in - they milked it for what it was worth and took credit for it.

I didn't say that they were doing a great job, but Rudd did put in place the policies to stop the boats and they almost immediately slowed down to a crawl. Regardless of this - Abbott with his fear campaign would have won anyway, but the Coalition have never been able to honestly admit that they stopped the boats on the back of the hard work Rudd did to initiate this. If the process hadn't been started Abbott would have had an avalanche of refugees arrive here on his watch before he could implement policies to stop them.

Both the major parties have their good and bad policies. Just because you support one team doesn't mean you can't acknowledge any decent policies the other one has. I'm not an advocate of either the Coalition or Labor - but there are still some of their policies I agree with.

Nah.... that is a load of bullshit...
For starters Rudd and Gillard opened our border and said come on down!!!!!
The only thing that affected boats coming here was seasonal weather.

Yes they sure are!

Dont look in the mirror cods as you will surely see one! :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Seems the GFC that only Australia dodged by spending to boost the economy, never occurred in cods mind.

I didn't say it was a good idea Cods and I understand that women are still being raped. How long have the Coalition been in power? Why haven't they stopped it?

Dutton has mismanaged payments to the contractors at Nauru and Manus to the tune of $2 billion dollars. I hardly think Labor can be blamed for these costs - although I'm sure they would have mismanaged them too. The thing is Cods - they are both as bad as each other.

The Coalition can't manage a people swap either.

I think a lot of the boat people currently imprisoned on Manus and Nauru would probably be wishing they had drowned instead of having to live in those hellholes indefinitely.

Attempted suicides are a regular occurrence Cods.
